-Word Challenge: Color- Reader X Levi

The world was always a dull place to Levi; a spectrum of the brightest of whites to the darkest of greys. Everything was monotone, no life and no color, yet that was how it was to almost everyone else.
Well it used to be everyone until he ran into a certain girl on the streets.
It was just another typical day to work, well a shitty day to be exact. People would push and shove the 35 year old as they passed by, as if they were late for work. He never did enjoy rush hour on the side walk since disgusting humans would be close to his perimeter; always ruining his pristine and nicely pressed suit with a simple nudge of the shoulder. Their grey lifeless eyes disgusted him to an extent though could he blame them? Nope. He should’ve expected from human nature that they were pigs.

Letting out another breath to keep calm he kept his eyes forward and his feet moving on the dull sidewalk, though I guess if he ever tried to see the color of such a thing it would stay the same. Yet while in that thought process he was staring at the ground, which he shouldn’t have been doing when he walked straight into one of his fellow walkers.
Letting out an irritated breath he looked at who he had bumped into and noted instantly the difference of the others from the odd creature.

“A-Are you okay, sir?” The woman asked with wide eyes and a similar bewildered expression. Yet she had to hurry and kneel down and pick up the scattered papers that were strewed haphazardly across the pavement.

Levi, however, didn’t respond. He was speechless because the girl and the world before him had changed. Everything was much brighter than its dull hue, it was as if he was sucked into a vibrant dream and the girl was the cause of it. Yet why was it that this girl changed that?

“Are you alright?” The woman asked even louder, her (eye color) orbs searching him as if he was in any pain.

The raven haired man shook his head and ran his hand through his locks. “Yes… I’m just-“

“I understand why you would be confused as well.” She cut him off with a light laugh. Yet even that light laugh drew him farther in.

“Confused about what?” He growled in annoyance as he didn’t know what she had meant, he had a clue but it wasn’t something he would expect her to know.

“That you’re not the only one who can see the spectrum; the arrangement of colors before you.” She explained while tilting her head and giving the annoyed male a warm smile.

“By the way the name is (first name), (first) (last)” (f/n) stated while holding out her hand.

Levi blinked and narrowed his eyes yet he couldn’t help but give the woman before him a
faint smile. Even though she already seemed annoying the radiance and color she gave off drew him in, something that was a first to the dull worker.

“Levi Ackerman, a pleasure to meet you, (f/n)” He replied and shook her hand gently, enjoying the soft touch of her skin though didn't admit it. He never was one to show much emotion so he gave her a brief nod and pulled away,

Her bright beautiful eyes look up at his, since she was (thankfully) smaller than him. The way they sparked with interest as he had mentioned his name made him forget the plans to even go to work today. Including the fact that she knew more than him in this matter, as in the sudden appearance of color, gave him more the reason to ask.

“So… would you like to go have some tea?”

“Levi, are you asking me on a date?” (f/n) asked with an annoying yet adorable motion of her hand to her lips.

“No brat, I’m asking you to accompany me to a café so you could explain more of this to me.” He retorted while looking away. His cheeks were tinted red in embarrassment at the girl’s odd outburst.

“I would love to then.” She laughed and organized her papers. While she did that Levi already began calling in to say that he wouldn't be able to make it, though he knew shitty glasses wouldn’t mind at all.

Once (f/n) finished Levi began leading her to a Café where they could discuss things and so he could get to know his soul mate, even if he didn’t know it yet, even better. Because of her he could see the vibrant life around him and the reason why the colors truly existed.
